Miller, while the man was: asleep. In the pocket book was a Southern Pacific check for $6077. The check was made in favor of A. F, Miller, the pay-roll number of. 24 being written jast before together, the same appearing like the Capitel M. The thief took the check to the Trackee saloon, Truckee, signed it M. A. F. Miller and cashed it. The theft was reported and Constable McDougald soon had the forger in custody and he had his preliminary examination today. The real Miller is anable to write his name, James Oreegan, the notorious forger, was also arrested at Truckee last week.
