by one-fourth to,three-fourths of a mile

A Unique Handkerchief,
Walter Aldrich, the bibliographer of
Providence, has'in his possession a
nique bandanna handkerchief, one yard
squere, made of silk of red body, with
portraits of Davis, Beauregard, Semmes,
Lee, Mason, Slidell, Morgan, Jackson
and Johnson printed in black, encircled
with wreaths of characteristic southern
leaves, with ferns and the cotton plant
on white ground. It is said to be the
only one extant of the 12 ordered for
_ the Confederate government in England.
