The principle change in the matter of ‘ext-books will be the dropping of the objectionable Myers History, and the substituting for itof sume work that will be acceptable to all patrons of the schools. Deafness Cannot be Cured by local applications as they cannot reach the disease portion of the ear. There is only one way to cure deafness, and that is by constitational remedies. Yeafness is caused by an inflamed condition of the: mucous lining of the Eusttachian Tabe. When this tube is inflamed you havea rumbling sound or imperfect hearing, and when it is entirely closed, Deafness is the result, and unless the inflamination can be taken out and this tabe restored to its normal condition, hearing will be destroyed_forever;nine cases out of ten are caused by Catarrh, which is nothing . but an inflamed condition of yee mucous surface. One of the actors was an aquatic expert of the old school, and was giving the members of the company an exhibition from the straps when suddenly the rope broke and down came the gymnastic thespian right on top of Miss Nannary. As soon as he came to the surface of the water he saw that Mise Nannary was in distress and at onte swam to her rescue.
