The Ahearn brothers, John and William, got into‘an altercation with Under Sheriff Pascoe at the Court House yesterday afternoon shortly after ~ five o'clock. They wanted to see their .brother, Jerome, who had become disorderly in the afternoon during the progress of the Baldwin-McUormick . " case and had been placed in a cell, bnt were ‘refused admittance as no visitors are allowed in the jail. They then became very abusive and John Ahearn made a movement toward his pocket as if to draw aweapon, Pascoe grasped his arm and a scuflle ensued. The officer finally drew a pistol and commanded Ahearn to give up the weapon but he re-~ fused. He quickly relented, however, and produced an ugly-looking dirk knite.
