number of people injured. It was, of
eourse, the work of strikers. This
puts the public ban still more definitely upon labor strikes. It is intolerable
that property should be destroyed,

noted that every considerable strike of
the-year has failed. This failure has
been due to the condemnation of the
public, which is sick of being harried
and inconvenienced by forcible disturbance of commercial activities and

Good ore is being taken out of the
Kentucky Ridge mine down on Deer
creek near Kentucky Flat. There is a
tunnel on the claim about four hundred feet long, out of which some $35,000 has been taken in years past. At
present another tunnel is being run on

and it is expected to strike the main
ledge at about forty-five feet, and
which, judging from the ore that is being taken out, is undoubtedly rich.

William Cerrick, a farmer, seventy
years of age committed suicide on his
ranch about three miles southeast of
