The dams are lower than they have been for years, and the company will take advantage of the shutdown to repair its flames and ditches. This may necessitate the closing of the Spanish and California mines. Never Heard of Montana. A letter addressed from this city to “Company ©, First Montana Volunteers, Manila, Philippine Islands,” has been returned the dead letter office with the endorsement: “No letters delivered to the Spanish during tbe continuance of the war.” A Pythian Smoker.
