Bauman ‘at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, July 31. Rev. Father’: William’ Daly officiated at the nuptial: ‘rites’ held-in St. Canice Catholic church. The. altar’ was beautifull decorated with. masses of’ white’ gladioli and white wax candles. ~~‘Mrs. Elise De Mattai, at the organ, rendered appropriate selections preceding and during the ceremony. ; The bride was a picture of youthful lovéliness as she came down the aisle on the arm of her father. Her gown was of frosted organdie with full, round train. The long fitted bodice was fash. ioned with a round neck and the . square yoke of net was accented . by’ ‘a dainty ruffle. The sleeves . were long and pointed. Her finger tip veil was’ fastened to a, coronet. of orange blossoms and seed. pearls. As her gnly ornament she wore a gold cross and chain, the gift of the groom. She carried a shower bouquet of . white ‘carnations and bouvardia centered by baby white orchids. ' Preceding her sister as maid. oi honor was Miss Patricia Arbo. gast and bridesmaids were Miss Donna Hyatt and Mrs. Dolores Richards, close friends and former classmates of the bride. Their identical, floor length gowns were of pastel shade taffeta. The bodices were charming with net yokes, dropped shoulder drapes and dainty ruf. fled bustle backs. Orchid was the . color of the maid of honor’s: gown; Miss Hyatt and Mrs. Richards. were in spring queen and daffoldil yellow. They all wore matching coronets .of pleat. ed net .and carried sprays of asters. Giff Wilde attended the groom as best man and James Riley and Ray Schneider. served as ushers. The bride was graduated from Nevada City high school, class of 1946 and Placer Union college. She has been attending Chico State college. Bauman is the son of Mrs. M. Bauman of Chico afd the late Martin Bauman, Sr. He was graduated from Vallejo high school, and served. over two years in the U.S. army in World War II.
