The chorus headed by William
Tobiassen already has two programs set for the chorus besides
the Christmas program. They are
Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
Good Fruitcake
Mrs. Newby’s cooking class
made fruitcake Thursday and
they were sure good. Even the
boys’ cooking class made fruitcake. When her Home Making I
class asked her when they could
start cooking ‘Mrs. Newby said
they might be able to make some
Christmas candy as soon as they
finish making the clothes for the
doll at the Save-More variety. So
all the girls are really excited.
Assembly
Another in the series of national assemblies was presented at
the high school Monday. Richard
Carradine, a well known Shakespearean actor, gave a splendid
performance. He gave scenes
from Hamlet and many other
well known Shakespearean plays.
The assembly was enjoyed by everyone.
Christmas Program
is to be one of the*best to be
given in a long time. Mr. Conway
of the elementary school has
written an outstanding play to be
presened by the elementary students. The high school chorus, directed by William Tobiassen, has
come up with a lot of new tunes
such as “Shepherds Awake,”
“Christmas Eve,” “Sleep of the
Child} Jesus,” and an old time favorite “Oh, Come, All Ye Faithful,” and many others. The high
school chorus this year consists
of 74 students and is one of the
best the high school has ever had.
Doll on Display
The doll donated by Emmet
Gallagher of the Save-More Variety Store, to the Home Making
I class at high school is now on
display in the store window with
many of its. clothes with it. How
ever there will be many more
clothes to come. But the tickets
are on sale at the Save-More or

of their names: Betty Lind, Jo
