Add the sections to the.top_.of the bananas (any juice from the oranges may be added to the lemon juice). Sift the sugar over the bananas and oranges, add lemon juice and bake for 20 minutes. Serve hot or cold. This is especially. good with cold meats. Banana Fritters 8 bananas ; 1-2 tablespoon lemon juice Fiowdered sugar I-2 tablespoon orange rind Remove skins from bananas and scrape. Cut in halves length+ wise, then cut the halves in two pieces crosswise. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, lemon juice and orange rind. Cover and let stand 30 minutes. Dip in batter, fry in deep fat and drain on brown paper. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
