Jamés Snell in his home on the
Lower Grass Valley Poad. Mrs.
Dorothy Kitts atterded the bride.

married pair a reception in the
Treddenick home on Town Talk.

GRASS VALLEY: Those who
have entered the Grass Valley
Junior Chamber of Commerce essay contest on the tepic: I am
going to the Fair, have five days in
which to finish and. hand it-in.;
The rules governing the contest includé these. The essays
must not be more than 400 wards
written on one side of each sheet.
On a separate paper the writer
must give his name, address and
school. Entries may be mailed ‘to
any member ‘of the committee,
which consists of Don-Rademaker,
222 Blake Street; Ted Kohler, 610°
Linden: Avenue, and Jerry Austin,
Lucas Lane. Winners will receive
three cash prizes, $25, $15, and $10.
The junior chamber is endeavoring to create public interest in
the county fair.

Reckless Driving
GRASS VALLEY: Francis Ray
Keck of Colfax, Placer County,
was fined $25 for reckless driving
when he appeared before Justice
of the Peace Charles A. Morehouse
and pleaded guilty.
Keck drove through Grass Valley Sunday evening at high speed,
it was alleged, and a few minutes
later, the sheriff's office. was notified by phone that his car was
turned. on. its side near' the New
Brunswick Mine, on the 61d Colfax Road. The driver had left the
scene. but presently he reappeared
in a taxi afd was cited by the
highway patrol
