the Auburn art show, at which
the work of four Nevada City artists is being displayed. The show
is at Placer college and is under
the auspices of the Auburn chapter, American Association of University Women.
Local exhibitors are:
George Mathis, whose gold country sketches have become well
known throughout northern California, is displaying two gold
country lithographs and an_ oil
portrait.
Robert Gilberg, another talented
artist, formerly of Oakland, has
entered three watercolor landscapes. Gilberg recently won recognition at the annual Albany
art show with outstanding pen
