NAVY CARRIES —
SEA-GOING PORTOLA
SAN FRANCISCO: The famed
over-land route taken by Don
Gaspar de Portola, when he travelled along the coast of California
to reach San Francisco Bay, will
be paralleled by sea, it was announced today, when the U. S.

election by the -various LatinAmerican associations in California, Giraldo’s forbears were the
Picos and the Arguellos whose
vast Spanish grant ranches spread
the length and breadth of California. He was born on part of
the old Pico ranch outside of
Salinas.
