After the business of the evening is over a short social time will be enjéyed. The secretary Mrs. Ed. Rose, is in receipt of an invitation’ from the Bishop-Langenbach Auxiliary, of Marysville, and Judge Tucker Auxiliary, of Yuba City, inviting them to meet with them Tuesday evening, April 17th., in a joint reception and entertainment of the Department President, Phoebe Neron, the occasion “keips her official visit: Nevada City Auxiliary is to bring sandwiches, Plans are to be made for a large attendance at this joint meeting. Oo-Mrs. Martha Dillon Hostess to Thimble Club Champion Circle, Neighbors of Woodcraft, Thimble Club, met at the home of Mrs. Martha Dillon Thursday afternoon. She was asssited in entertaining by Mesdames Neva Pianezzi, Laura Coughlan,: of Nevada City, and Jane Trathen, of.Grass Valley. The attractive rooms were decorated with a profusion of beautiful spring flowers. Refreshments were served at prettily appointed tables. The members of the club making a windmill quilt. Each member of the club brought their blocks and they were put together. The diversion of the afternoon was whist.. Mrs. Nettie Sandow won the first prize while to Mrs. Lavina Sharp went the second, and to Mrs. The mystery box was Won by Mrs. Teresa McCloud. Twenty-six members were in attendance. o-———___ TWO CC C CAMPS SOON TO BE ESTABLISHED The two CCC camps, which this Summer replace the seven camps of the Tahoe area of last year, are now being rapidly recruited to the full strength of 200 men per camp. On July 15, a large contingent of enrollies who will have been in the camps for 15 months will be discharged to make room for other young men. The Applegate camp Will be moved to the Forbes ranch near Iowa Hill, and the Grass Valley camp will be established 11 miles east of Nevada City on the Tahoé-Ukiah highway at White Cloud. Both are tent camps. The camp formerly at the Bradley tion in Idaho.
