The fire is thought to have! started from: a vent pipe’of a gas. heater. The loss’ is estimated «at $1000, covered by insurance. The damage was confined to the upper story of the building. * Walter McPherson of San Francisco spoke at the Episcopal church in Grass Valley. Jack Sutherland left for San Francisco to spend a short,, time at a school of salesmanship. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Furlong and son of Auburn were in Grass Valley last week.
