By taking three points from the
Rowe team of Grass Valley on the
local alleys Thursday night, the Willoughby team in the Elks League 1s
now up with the leaders. The Curnow téam_ by. losing. four points
.sluffed off from its fine work of
the previous week when it took four
points from the Tyrrells.
Mobley, lead off man, tore ofi
two fine games but slipped a littk
in his second effort. The Rowes did
‘n't get going until the final session
when they copped the last game and
knocked -off 56. pins of a 79 lead
in an effort to catch total pins.

points of each team.

The Richards team in the local
lengue caught up a little with the
scoring machine and took two points
from the Carrs last week by aid of
some good work.
With Durbin and Kjorlie listed as
missing, the three remaining members got busy and showed some good
scores. Schiffner landed nearly 500
bins for his evening’s work, starting
eff with a 173. Carr landed a dou‘ble century in the final game took
his honors with 508.

those delightful days, with all nature so beautiful should put us in
a happy mood. The “April showers”
have not yet come
but we expect them.
Now that Yuba Pass is open we
expect to see visitors too, for tourists will come when they know the
way is clear. This is no longer a
place of solitude, for with the noise
of autos and trucks and we may
add the. usual noise of farm life,
