we ? 4g > +i # 4s f am ; wag = MONDAY, APRIL 19, 1937. Sen Ea PAGE THREE LOVE IS NEWS AT NEV. THEATRE, ON MON. TUES. The romance of a thrilling threesome whose kisses crash the headlines and whose escapades sell extras, with handsome Tyrone Power outromancing his ‘Lloyds of London’’ role, lovely Loretta Young bringing her fresh charm to a portrayal that is enchantingly . different, and Don Ameche creating a dashing new screen characterization, provides hilarious excitement in the Twentieth Century Fox . streamline hit, “Love\is News” opening at the Nevada Theatre. With Loretta in the role of a beautiful heiress heckled and pestered by sensation seeking newspapers, the enjoyable pace is. set at onte when she vows vengeance against Tyrone Power, ace newshawk who hag just tricked her again into the headlines, -without however, reckoning with his dynamic, hard-driving managing editor, Don Ameche (radio star of “The First Nighter’’). To give newsman Tyrone a dose of his own medicine, Loretta determines to make him a public figure, and not only announces her engagement to him but also states that she has presented him with a million Beseiged on every hand, Tyrone strives to expose the hoax but his efforts serve only. to increase his notority as well as his unpopularity with the managing editor. On a wild chase into the country, both the newshawk and his quarry are arrested for speeding and jailed by county Judge Slim Summerville, an incid-4 ent which results in some of the most hilarious moments in the film. Loretta’s revenge works itself un to a bewildering and amusing climax in which the tables are suddenly turned and the pair find themselvyes, as the newspapers had so oftent. . repeated, really “that ‘way’’ about each other. Slyn Summerville, Dudley Digges, Walter Catlett, George Sanders, Jane Darwell, Stepin . Fetchit and Pauline Moore are featured in the cast, while Tay Garnett directed. Darryl F.
