Today it has dwindled to 488 people, its streets ate bare and ghostly. This spring, Virginia City roared again when a-host of Hollywood movie stars invaded the historic town to celebrate the world premiere of the great picture, “Virginia City.” Above you see Errol Flynn, Sigrid Gurie, Alan Hale and Bruce Cabot as they arrived via Greyhound bus in Virginia City for the celebration. This mode of comfortable travel was in sharp contrast to the stage coach (in circle) in which they traveled to Virginia City in the picture. At the right above is shown the throng who stormed Piper's Opera House when the movie stars put on a special performance.
