Teresa Alaria EDITORIAL: The civics club of the Nevada City high school is an organization which deserves considerable mention. Mr. Kjorlie, our history teacher, organized this club in his eviies classes early in the year. The pupils take great interest in their organization and put forth their greatest efforts to do as much for the school as possible. We are thankful that such an organization because it really has done a great deal for us. On Washington's birthday it entertained the student body with a program, and presented the sehool with a new flag. Their latest interest is that of planting flower: and’ shrubs around the school buildBesides being a benefit to the school they have. benefitted themselves by giving picnics which have given them an opportunity togain social, as well as civic advantages When freshmen enter the high school they seem to be neglected by all upper classmen. This year Mr. Kjorlie, by the organization of the civics.club has’ given the freshmen every advantage to learn school eustoms and cultivaté school spirit, as well as make them feel that they are a part of the student body. They closed the evening by attending the performance at the Strand Theater at Grass Valley. JUNIOR NOTES On Monday, April 15, the. juniors held a meeting in Mr. room to discuss the Junior Prom.
