By KATHERINE BRAITHWAITE
Today the dark clouds melted from the hill,:
And from «ie earth has gone stern winter’s chill,
The month of March has had its last mad fling,
Jhe skies are blue; a robin sings, “It’s sprivig.”
The peaks have stored their trailing ermine wraps, p g p
And budding bough upon my window taps,
The oak out in the field has one more ring,
The sun is warm, bees softly hum, * ‘It’s spring.”
The brook down in the deep ravine is gay,
And pussy willows on its

green banks sway,
blackbird’s wing,
The air is sweet; wild flowers bloom—it’s spring.
I hear the soft call of the mating dove,
Now I'll go forth to find my own true love,
I know I'll feel her arms around me cling,
The bluebirds throng, my heart’s eulow-—sit" s spring.
