At Red Dog, then a prosperous town with hotels, numerous stores, saloons and gambling places, there were four stamp mills. At You Bet, another ghost town, there were six mills, at Little York three and at Hunt’s Hill three. There was a mill at Dutch Flat, one at Gold Run and another at Green Mountain.
