were reminded of the state law prohibiting the sale of such beverages

AUBURN: Registration of new
students at Placer College in Auburn begins Tuesday, August 26th,
at 9 a. m. Busses will run from
Placerville, Folsom, Grass Valley,
Nevada City, Lincoln, Roseville and
Colfax.
’ Prospective students. unable to
register during the day may come
to Auburn from 7-10 p. m. Busses
will not run in the evening.
Dean Harold M. Weaver of Placer
College states the entire faculty
will be on hand for the registration
when returning students will be

Earl Crabbe, former Nevada City
period, which ends August 29th,]
Placer College, states that 272 sta_
dents, on the campus last year are
expected to return for additional
work: and that 270 new students
have alréady been accepted for admission.
With the eight new buildings now
being completed on the campus for
use September 2nd, when class instruction begins, Placer will be able
to handle over 600 students.
During the registration period,
Nevada County will be served by
one bus, originating at the National
Hotel in Nevada City at 7:15 a. m.,
and traveling through Grass Valley, where a stop will be made at
the Standard station at 7:30 a. ™.
Beginning September 2nd, when
class instruction begins, two busses
will operate, one originating in .Nevada City and the other’ in Grass
Valley.
Approximately 100 students from:
Nevada County are expected to attend Placer College next semester.
