The Camptonville Women’s Society of Christian Gervice met last
week at the home of Mre. Jerry
Platz for an all day sewing session.
A pot-luck lunch was served at
noon. The members held an election of officers, the results of which
are as follows: President, Mrs. Mary
Havey; ‘vicepresident, Mre. Irene
LeBars; seeretary-treasurer, Mrs.
Lou Price; devotional leader, Mrs
Charlotte Stone. /
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Stoops have
moved from their home near Camptonville to Auburn. Mr. Stoops was
employed by the Pendola ‘Mill.
Mrs. ®Bthel -Chatfield’s brother,
Mr, Theodore Stirewalt, visited at
the Chatfield home Sunday, en route
to Lake Tahoe. He was accompanpiece found

with his mother in Camptonville before returning to Modesto where he

Butz, are visitors at the Butz home
this week.
Mre. Clarence Hanson and Mrs.
Edward Havey made a trip to Grass
Valley and Nevada City last weekend.
(Miss Cleora Hanson, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hanson, celebrated her twelfth pirthday August
18 with a party. Co-hostess with
Mrs. Hanson was Mrs. Edward Hayey. There ‘were sixteen guests
present: Barbara Ann Potter, Colleen Brown, Claudia Brown, Dona
Lynn LeBars, Howard Williams,
Harold Price, Marion and Phyllis
Porter, Ila Baker, Harriet Havey,
Mary Ann Molen, Julie Amaral,
Cleora Brown, Plaine Read, Nelda
Stone and Kitty Lou Rittenhouse.
The guests played games and were
gerved birthday cake, ice cream and
