Calvin, whose demise took plas on Noveinner 30th at Oakland where he has resided for many years. The deceased was a native of this place, and spent the ‘yornger years ot nis Tifé here, attending the local school. He was maivied while residing here to Minnie .Goldthwait, «nd to the union was born one gon, Clyde Calvin. Bill Caivin was'o mun of high
ideals, good nature, and a genuine friend of all who knew him. While living here he icok a prominent part, in the affairs of the community, and was looked upon with much respect. Leaving here cariy in his life, he took up his residence jn the bay region where he he!.1 a responsible position with street.car systems of San Francisco, which position he held until his retirement a few years ago. He was a member of Grave) Range Lodge No. 59 F. & A. M., of . this place, from which lodge he de‘mitted in 1892 to affiliate with a lodge at the bay. He is survived by ‘a son Clyde Calvin, of Alameda, a . sister, Miss Anna M. Calvin, of Oakiland, and M. G. Calvin, a brother, of ' this place.
