MEETING The senior class held a short meeting Thursday and postponed their assembly program until three weeks after the Christmas vacation. Plans were discussed, but nothing definite decided upon for the program. SHARPS AND FLATS , The Sharps and Flats club held a short meeting Thursday to discuss their formal dance on December 23. The dance will definitely be at that time with the chorus students eytirely in charge. Social Events Banner Mt. Post is Host at Christmas Tree Banner Mt. Post, V. F. W.auxiliary entertained with a Christmas tree, party and program on Friday evening. About fifty members of the auxiliary, post and children enjoyed a well rendered program, Those taking part were: Barbara Hutton, Barbara Tonella Bill ‘Tobiassen, David Tobiassen, Joann Hutton, Jeanette Gillimore, Fay and Juanita Williams. Community singing was enjoyed after the program. Small gifts were distributed from the tree pre Christmas Party for Rebekahs and . . O. O. F. A delightful Christmas party was énjoyed by Neva Rebekah lodge, Odd Fellows and their children on Saturday evening. A brightly colored Christmas. tree ‘carried numbered gifts for the forty six present and these numbers corresponded with) numbers at the plates at a prettily appointed table. A jolly social time was enjoyed and serving of dainty refreshments\ brought the evening to a close. to each one sent, Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig ‘Netz are planning to go to Martinez to visit with their children and families over the Christmas ‘holidays.

Chairman of the California State Chamber of Commerce Tax Committee, is revealed in the December issue of ‘‘California’’ off the ‘press today. Listing and explaining seven proposed ehanges, which have been culled out of the many that have been made, Ehrman emphasizes that his committee does not at this time advocate any one or several of them. but does plan to carefully study them all. During the past 28 years, according to the article in “California” “a total of 101 initiative provosals have been submitted to voters in California at 1'5 elections.
