An earthquake shock was distinctly felt in Nevada City Tuesday night
at 10:13 o’clock. Many local people
felt the shock which was also felt
at other points in the county.
Coach Bev Baron of the local high
school returned Wednesday morning from Sonora to better guide tne
destinies of his basketball teams

Their car overturning on the highway Tuesday night. near the site of
the recent Twin Cities Dance Hall,
two travelers without further ado,
pitched camp along side of the road
and made out O. K. until the following day.
Lee Cochrane of the’ BraunKnecht-Heimann Company, was a
business caller in Neyada City Tuesday from the head office in San
Francisco. His company handles
echemieals and scientific apparatus.
J. E. Thomas and Jack Hall of
Ely, Nevada stopped in Nevada City
for an indefinate period yesterday
afternoon. The. men are quartz
miners and are looking for a property to develop*in this district.

Hoge Development Company, planned to leave this morning for Palo
Alto to visit his brother for several
