Mrs. Celia Clemo Celebrates Birthday Mrs. Celia Clemo celebrated ‘her seventy sixth birthday at the home ‘of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Sauvee, in Nevada City. Monday. Family members were present to enjoy a large gaily decorated birthday cake that carried the tiny candles. Mrs. Clemo, a native of Cornwall, England, came direct to Grass Valley with her parents when only. five years old and resided there continuously until the last three years which she has spent with her daughter, Mrs. Sauvee, and husband in Nevada City. Through her quiet life she has not only reared a sucmany. kindly acts for others. Nevada City Women Attend Eastern Star at Sacto. Mrs. Chas. Leiter, district deputy matron of the eighth district O. E. S., accompanied by Mrs. John Eden and Mrs. Mary German attended installation of nine chapters in Sacramento Monday night, in’ Eastern Star Temple. It was a beautiful ana brilliant affair and was much enjoyed. Mrs. Leiter held a school of instruction in Georgetown Wednesday evening, and attended a meeting of Auburn Chapter, Order Eastern Star, Thursday night. Miss Marguerite Burns Weds Louis Marquardt CAMPTONVILLE, Dec. 3.—Louis Marquardt and Miss (Marguerite Burns, both of this place were married Saturday evening at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. Fred Fowley at Oak Valley, Judge Acton M. Cleveland performing the ceremony. The bride is the youngast daughter of Mr.John Burns of Alameda and has resided in this vicinity during the past two years, being the last of the family of five to marry.
