Oroville. Twirlers Feted
Saturday Night by Local
Goldancers Group
The Goldancers and their invited guests, the Feather River
Twirlers 'of Orville dined at candle lighted tables Saturday night
at Seamans Lodge.
Turkey and all the trimmings
was served to the Orville dancers
who braved the storm to be the
Goldancers guests.
Mrs. Beulah Berry -and_ her
committee was complimented for
the beautiful table decorations
and the lovely dinner.

enjoyed till a late hour following
the dinner. Ed Smith and Frank
Clark, both of the Orville club
“called’ several squares during
the evening. The group also made
a couple of recordings on Clarence Bruegger’s recording © machine with everyone getting a
chance to say a few words.
Wednesday night the local
group. gathered at. Seaman’s
Lodge for their regular weekly
dance session. Interested folk
and square dancers are welcomed
at these meetings. The new
dance taught this week was the
Spanish schottishe. Arlene and
Cecil Self were program chairmen.
Bud and Gene Zerga of Sierra
City were recent guests of the
Goldancers and hope to join the
local group*for a little dancing
this winter,. weather. permitting,
now that their busy season _ is
over.
PBWC Christmas Party
Thursday at Butchers
Members of Nevada City Business and Professional Women’s
Club. will attend a costume yule
party Thursday evening at the
home of Mrs. Beatrice Butcher
on the Ridge road. ‘
An all-girl orchestra has ‘been
engaged for the affair. Members
will bring toys to be distributed
with Nevada City’s Christmas
baskets.

her own western style cotton blouse. Both of the cotton school ensembles
were designed by Johnston of Dallas.

The girls annual Amazon week
began last Monday and this of
course means the big Amazon
dance that will be held this evening in the high school auditorium.
It will begin at 7:30 and last until
11:30. Prices.will be 50 cents for
couples and 25 cents for stags.
The theme of the dance this year
will be titled “Snowman’s Fantasy”. The dance will be one of
the big events of the year. Refreshments will be served.

The Merrymakers Dance club
plan to meet tomorrow night at
