If the additional field service is made available more volunteer leadership and prospective sponsors can be contacted and trained and in turn gervice more boys. Epperson 44 a Negro recently employed by tho Southern Pacific Comipany in Truckee was held to answer to the superjor fourt on charges of assauit with a deadly weapon following a preliminary hearing held before Justice of the Peace R. N. Little. Epperson was accused with slashing Benny Davis 55 also’ colored. about the face and neck with a knife during a brawl at the Sierra Rooms where they resided.
