Completion of the $2.00,000 underwriting necessary to stage the celebration is expected by next week, President Edwin R. Pickett declared following an enthusiastic mass meeting of citnzens at which representatives of 85 organizations pledged their complete support to the program. A meeting of representatives of civic organizations in Golden Empire communities to discuss the HomeComing Weeks, part of the celebration, has been set for Friday, February 25th by L. B. Osborn, president of the Golden Empire Association. The meeting will be at 2:30 p. m. in Roseville icity hall, followed by a dinner at which Judge Don Bass will preside. « Another event was added to the Centennial program this week with the announcement that a rodeo has been. scheduled as part .of the spring program in. 1939.
