In Automobile Crash Miss Katherine McClish, student

morning of Miss Melba Huson to Mr.
Virgil. Nugent, the young couple returning to Grass Valley, met with an

Early spring flowers were used in
profusion for decorating the rooms
and the guests felt a touch of delightful springtime as they left the
snow covered sidewalk.
Bridge and a happy social time
were enjoyed. Later delicious refreshments were’ served, the color
scheme of the decorations in the dining room and of the dishes were a
lovely shade of pink.
Mrs. Huy notronly received a number. of pretty presents but won first
prize at bridge. Mrs. Will Fouyer
won consolation prize.

Honoring Mrs. Mattie J. Reynolds,
who as a young girl crossed the
plains in a covered wagon, and has
made her home in California ever
since. Mrs. George D. Wright of
Main street, gave a birthday lunchyeon to a group of old friends of her
mother.
The table was beautifully . appointed and decorated with Valentine designs, with a large bouquet of
red carnations centering it and red
eandles in silver candlesticks .completing the assemble. Many beautiful gifts were reeeived by Mrs.-Reynolds as souvenirs of the delightful
affair.
