Algred Sturgill of Colfax have announced the bethrothal of their
daughter, Marie, to Hale L. Baker of
Grass Valley. It was stated that the
marriage will take place in Grass
Valley on June 21st. :
Miss Sturgill is a graduate of
Placer high school and °Placer college. Her fiance is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Andrew L. Baker of 463 1-2
South Auburn Street. He served in
;the Jate war as a pilot in the U.S.
Army Air Corps.’ He was a student
in Sacramento college and is now enrolied in the University of Nevada.
