of Quincy, who spent two weeks vacationing at Los Angeles, taking in}

advertising by banks in promoting pub
lic understanding and contidenee in regard to existing banking conditions
and methods have been announced by

Bankers Association, as a part of his

Transamerican Corporation directors yesterday declared the’ usual
semi-annual dividend of 12% cents
a share on capital stoek, payable
January 31 to stock of record January 15.
The total amount of the dividénd
is $2,960,000, about 90 per cent of
which is paid to stockholders in California and therefore increases the
‘purchasing power of this state by
more than $2,660,000.
The current dividend disbursement brings the total cash divideads
paid by Transamerica and its predecessor during the past ten “Years
