Price. County Surveyor Jason R. Meek, accompanied by his grandson Owsley Gray, of San Francisco, was in town Tuesday visiting his brother W. B. Meek. He is recovering froin a recent illness and his friends are! glad to see him able to be on the old trail once again. Mrs. W. E. Hanson and family ar. rived a few days ago from several . months visit at Sacramento and will reside in one of the Hanson houses in Kendall Lane. The CCC boys, of the local subcamp, returned Wednesday morning after an absence of several days during the holidays. Their new barracks on the government property is completed and they moved in. Mrs. James High and sons, Bob and Vernon, left for their home at Modesto, Wednesday after spending = . } . . . the holidays with Mrs. High’s sister, Mrs. Samuel F. Price. Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Seisser and family moved from here to the town of Washington, Sunday, where he is to be employed in the mining ipdustry. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene H. Hays motored up from Browns Valley Tuesday to spend New Years with relatives. Bernard D, Rathjen will leave shortly for Berkeley where he will Spend several months in colle: Gorden T. TO PAY 12° CENT DIVIDEND Transamerican Corporation directors yesterday declared the’ usual semi-annual dividend of 12% cents a share on capital stoek, payable January 31 to stock of record January 15. The total amount of the dividénd is $2,960,000, about 90 per cent of which is paid to stockholders in California and therefore increases the ‘purchasing power of this state by more than $2,660,000.
