YEAR SHOWS MUCH INCREASE OF ACTIVITY Alleghany District In the Alleghany district considerable development work was proseciited. The 16 tol Company sank the Tightener shaft 500 feet deeper and has’ kept steady production throughout the year. The transfer of the Yellow Jacket holding by the Alleghany El' Dorado interests marked ¢he largest transfer of mining property since the sale of the Tightner. A complete mill and cyanide equipment has been assembled at the El Dorado property and with a new electric hoist early production at this famous property (is a certainty. The biuldings at the Wonder Mine were burned early in the summer but have been replaced. The North. Star quished their option bago Mine, but it is rumored that steps looking toward the reopening, of this property may be expected this. coming year. o Forest District _ i The leading aetivity in this district the past year has been the big strike made in the Bruch Creek property under option to the Kate Hardy interests.
