Hydraulic Association Will Hold Gathering At Colfax Saturday A large attendance is urged at the meeting in Colfax Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock of the California Hydraulic Mining Association. ‘The meeting will be held at the Colfax Hotel. Secretary W. W. Esterly said reports will be made on the progress of the Bear River Debris Dam anf on a-new site of the’Ruck-A-Chucky verican’ River.. The secretary said considerable new business si also to come before the meeting. DISPLEASED BY CATCHING OF SPAWNING CATFISH H. F. Sofge, fishing with Roy Nelson and Haold Sofge at Ice Lakes this week, reported several so called anglers were proud of the fact they had 70 catfish in their creels. Sofge openly expressed his displeasure at their method of catching the fish. They were wading close to the shore and grabbing the catfish which were spawning in the mud. The Sofge party confined their activities to proper fishing methods and hooked a couple of bass. right to its place in the sun by battling all the forces of nature.
