A large attendance is urged at the
meeting in Colfax Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock of the California
Hydraulic Mining Association. ‘The

SPAWNING CATFISH
H. F. Sofge, fishing with Roy Nelson and Haold Sofge at Ice Lakes
this week, reported several so called
anglers were proud of the fact they
had 70 catfish in their creels.
Sofge openly expressed his displeasure at their method of catching the fish. They were wading close
to the shore and grabbing the catfish which were spawning in the
mud.
The Sofge party confined their
activities to proper fishing methods
and hooked a couple of bass.
