Dietrich, better known as Dutch Jake
had a slight misfortune a few days
ago. He cut his hand on a can and. .
bound it up with a cloth saturated in
turpentine, later in kindling his fire
with kerosene the cloth took fire and
burned up his sleeve. He extinguished it before it burned him very badly, but he burned the other hand in
putting the fire out.
