Roller skating has proved an en-’'
tertaining sport to those of the
younger set the last few days, since
its opening Friday. The young folks
of Nevada City have not many places
to attend as a recreation and the
skating rink not only provides entertainment for them, but also social

FALLS OFF BICYCLE
Luther Marsh, Jr., was pretty well
banged up when he fell off the handle bars of the bicycle which he and
Max Frost were riding on Washington street, Saturday. Luther was on
the handle bars and. Max tried to
slow down suddenly as they came to
the intersection at Coyote street.
Luther fell and skidded along the
gravel road for a while and now
wears a beautiful array of bandages.
When his neighbors first saw ~ him
they took him for a Spanish soldier
on furlough. He had a pretty bad
cut on his head. Dr. Tickell took one
Stitch in it.
