small acfeage; Wednesday a fire
flared up on the White Ranch at
Peardale; and on the same day a
fire on the Demieville ranch 12 miles
southwest of Nevada City in the
Cottage Hill section, raised immense
clouds of smoke which with ashes
and cinders were carried into Nevada City. This fireburned over
, considerable territory and was controlled Thursday. On Friday fire
