before the Auburn lodge in September. ‘

Country Club
Entertains
Members of the Gold Flat Country
Club and their friends enjoyed a full
day’s activities Sunday at the Mr.
and Mrs. John Deschwanden ome
in Gold Flat.
A barbecue was served at noon
and a supper at 6 o’clock. The tahles
were set under the trees, providing
a beautiful setting.
During the afternoon games of:ail
sorts were played and swimming was
enjoyed by some of the guests. Ths
events were interspersed with mus; ical selections by Mrs. C. E. Bos. ; worth and Mrs. Goodnight. A dance

Clark’s Greater Shows are drawing big crowds in Grass Valley. This

the moving of the yard from its former location on Spring Street.

the company at Chico was in Nevada
City yesterday going over details
of the new buildings with Bert Foreman, local manager.
It was announced the permanent
buildings for the lumber yard and
store will be constructed when the
title to the O'Neill property is cleared, which may take several months.
Approximately 20 men were employed in moving the lumber yard to
the new location.
