CALIF ORN 1A “LEGAL N NOTICE ORDINANCE No. 205 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TRAVEL OVER AND UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS AND BRIDGES OF T CITY OF NEVADA. The Council of the City of Nevada do ordain as follows: WHEREAS, the safety of the public and the preservation of the bridges of the City of Nevada from threatened injury and destruction by ; the operation thereon and thereover of heavy and overloaded vehicles: NOW, THEREFORE, it is ordained_as follows, to wit: SECTION 1. Definitions: Unless . it appears from the context that a different meaning is intended, the following words shall have the meanings given by this section and shall be construed as follows: (a) “Persons’’ shall include any individual, copartnership, association. corporation; .company, firm or other ageregation of individuals. (b) ‘‘Motor vehicle’ shall include all vehicles, with or without trailers, propelled otherwise than by muscular power, except such vehicles as run, upon stationary rails or tracks. (ce) “Public streets’’ shall include bridges when the latter are a part of the highway. (d) ‘‘Owner” edict iriclude any person owning a motor vehicle or other ! vehicle, or having the use thereof; under lease or otherwise, or operat: ! ing the vehicle by employment or permission of the person claiming to own the same. SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful for any person, as owner or otherwise, to drive. operate, haul or move, or cause to be driven, operated, hauled or moved any vehicle drawn or moved by the use of horses, mules or other animals over or upon the Gault or Pine street bridge, situate on Pine street, in the City of Nevada, the weight of which vehicle and trailer, if any, including the animals by which the vehicle is moved, and including the weight or { load thereon, shall exceed three (3) tons. ! SECTION 3.
