Miss Winiffed Rowe, ‘has completed the summer course at U. C., Berkeley and is now staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Rowe. D. E. Mattson and family have as visitors for the summer, Mrs. T. W. Martin and Miss Pauline Cooley of Rockville, Conn. J. T. Michell, former merchant banker of Grass Valley, has returned o his home in San Francisco after spending some time fishing at Lake Faucherie. : Mr. and Mrs. John Key have as guests their nephew, Lawrence Uphoff of San Francisco, and Miss Thelma Key. Among those who visited at the William Nankervis homerecently were: Mr. and Mrs. Will Nankervis, Thomas Nankervis and, Miss Lydia Rose, all of Oakland. Elton Martin, returned to the byrites mine a Lowell Hill, afer receiving treatment for an injured arm, R. S. Rood, medical student at Stanoford university, is visiting for .several with his father, V. V. Rood. Mrs. Raymond Whitburn and son, Bobbie, spent two weeks in Oakland with her mother, Mrs. W. T.
