In justice to the officers. of the
society and to the members who have
assumed committee responsibilities,
it must be realized that during the
winter months, it has-been difficult
for many of them to carry on the
committee work as they had hoped
and planned. Many of the active
workers of the sogiety are connected with the public schools of this
‘county, and their time,' particularly
‘during the last féw weéks, has been
fully occupied ‘by the duties incij dental to the — of the school

term. 4
The program adopted at, the last
annual meeting (printed in thie column of June3,) announced July,
August and September as a vacation period. While no member‘
ship meetings will be held during
these three months, the committees
_. wil continue to function and having
. more time to devote to their assignments, the committee men. and ‘wo‘. men plan activities that will make
possible the presentation at the next
. annual meeting of a definite schedule of committee assignments and
reports of effective accomplishments.
