The Nevada City Womans Civic
Club held its last meeting of the
‘season Monday night, at which reguJar business was taken care of. There
was a lively discussion regarding
the possibility and feasibility of
seeking to form a health district in
this county and neighboring counties. —
The club voted to donate ten dollars to the boy scouts fund.
Mrs. C. E. Parsons, chairman of
the Flower Show arrangement committee, gave a brief outline of tent b
ative plans for the show to be held

Following the business meeting
Mrs. George Legg gave a most interesting talk. on the ‘‘pueblos’’ of
Arizona. Mrs. Legg visited the cliff
dwellings and pueblos of the ancient
tribes of Indians when slfe was in
Arizona several months ago anda
brought a very interesting description. of them to the club ladies.

Cam>fire Girls Sacramento,
who are to spend their vacation at
Camp Minaluta on Lake Vera north
of Nevada City, have sold 3,000 dozen more doughnuts this season than
ever before. This is for funds for
their camp which is open for registration now. Next Sunday the Camp
Fire fathers will spend the day
‘cleaning up the camp grounds.
Plans for the Camp Celio season,
are, Gold Rush, June 20-27; Blue’
Bird, June 20-27; first regular session Camp Celio will be June 27July 11. Second session, July 11-25.
Miss Rhea Rupert will arrive this
week end to get Piedmont Camp in
shape for the season.
A group of Mills College girls will
come to their Gold Hollow camp on
the lake for a week or two. The
camp has been leased again this sea‘son to the Young Ladies Christian
“Temperance Association and many
‘girls will be sent’ to camp by that
organization.
