MONDAY. JUNE 17.1929, se Miss Alice Mooser, Mills College student, is spending her vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. _ iH. Mooser. Fred Develey of Alleghany came down in his car Thursday on a. short business trip. Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Mooser had as guests, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lindley of San Francisco, oyer the week end. William Clerkin of French Corral was a business visitor the latter part of the week. Mrs. Frank Groves of Camptonville was a visitor in Grass Valley ’ early in the week. George Dickinson and Merris Ingram spent Thursday in Sacramento. Captain J. E. Blake, of the state traffic department, made a business trip to Truckee recently. » John J. Looser pf Grass Yalley and J. E. Pauly of Camptonville were Sacramento visitors Thursday. William Sampson, W.-T. George and E. H. George spent last week end fishing at Lake Bowman. _ Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Williford are “here visiting her mother, Mrs. LeDue. They are on their way to their home in Oakland after a, anio tour in the state of Oregon. Mis Mary Mohnson, teacher in the Courtland school the past year, , came up to spend her vacation here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Johnson. : Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Cursow and son, Jack, and H. M. Curnow™spent several days in Susanville. Jack ‘remained to take up highway work for the summer.months. He is a student at Sacramento Junior College. Those from Vallejo visiting in Grass Valley are, Mrs. R. T. Ney and daughter, Margaret; Mrs. F. 3. Conlin. L. B. Johnson of Lime Kiln had his hand badly cut with a saw blade. Among those home from Junior College, Sacramento, to spend their summer vacation are, Misses. Alice Skewes, Alice Henwood, E. Ferguson, and Jack Curnow. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Nile were business visitors Oroville, Wednesday. Mrs. Albert Burton and Mr. and Mrs. Bett Schwartz and daughter of Washington, D. C., spent a few days visiting The two first mentioned ladies are former residents of Grass Valley. . They attended the Shrine convention in Los Angeles and later came up on their return home. They drove by auto from Washington, D. C. and will return the same way. Mrs. Harry Sparnon has as a Visitor her sister, Mrs. Lawrence Doseete of Antidch. William Patterson, Joe Perkins and George Perkins spent a week at the Sportsmen's Club at Lake Faucherie. Mr. and Mrs. Williams have had as guests, Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Oshorne of Oakland.
