Clyde Browning and Joe Swazey were busy hauling from near Maryswille last week. Mrs., Alfred Kneebone of Bridgeport, visited relatives in French Corral last Thursday. Miss Louise Moulton and Richard McMinn returned‘from North Bloomfield Friday evening to spend the week-end in French Corral. They re-. ' turned to North Bloomfield Monday “morning and Miss Barbara McMinn . accompanied them. ' ‘W.E. Moulton, with a crew of ’ men went to Granitevill Friday to do repair work on the water ditch. The Birchville School closed for the term last. Friday. Mrs. Howe, the teacher will not return for next term. W. P. Clerkin returned from the : lower ranges Friday and will go to the mountains Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Culver attended the commencement exercises at Grass Valley Friday where Mrs. Culver’s grandson, Bennie Wilcoxon, graduated with high honors, . ~ Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Meyers and * Mr. Meyers’ aunt, Mrs. L. Charlie Corey, who in his boythood resided at Bridgeport and attended the French Corral school, paid a visit to this place last week. He had not been here for many years and his friends were glad to see him. Mrs. Earle Chatty and little sons, Billy and Jack of San Francisco are i visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Culver of French Corral. Messrs Merle Fischer and Virgil Avazedo of Sacramento were Sunday visitors. Mrs. L. Day and daughters Alice and Virginia visited friends in this “place Sunday. J. Swazey and Clyde were Tyler visitors last Sunday. Mr. Lee Day, who has been the guest of W. E. Moulton and family for the past week, returned to his thome in San Francisco Monday. J. W.
