PLACER MINE ACT.
Ine owner to 5 votes. If less than
$5,000.00 the owner is still entitled
te one vote.
No mine owner can be forced into
the district if he does not desire to.
participate.
BONDS MAY BE ISSUED
The act provides for the issuance
of bonds -which bear not more than
8 per cent interest.
The distrfct may also generate
and sell power or sell the energy of
the water and let someone else genrate the power from it. Tthte act also provides for the Dissolution of .
the District.
The salability of the bonds of the
district to provide funds to: procure
water for mining and ‘storage facilities for the tailings depends on how
valuable the mining properties are
and the ability of the. management.
This act sets up means and points
the way for the small fellow to get
together and mine and united they
can also repel blackcailing racketeers who, for fifty years have robThey are too much for
the single operator, but they will
be fair game for a district.
HOW TO ORGANIZE
To organize a placer mining district, first ascertain where you can
develop a water supply to operate
your mine, find out where you can
successfuly and economically store
its tailings. Then get up a list of
other mine operators who could use
the same facilities. Get together and
figure out how many of you want to
go into the organization. Then have
an engineer, figure your costs and
an attorney to help you go through
the legal formalities and you’re on
your way. This bill is not a royal
road to wealth, but a safe feasible
one for Placer Miners with faith, patience and the desire to get the values from their mines.
The writer wil lbe glad’ to give
preliminary advice to the first group
to organize.
