Approximately 200,000 tons of ore
have heen genes out in Big Jamison, assaying about $16 a ton. The
high grades run up to $300.

for new machinery. The mill is being re-designed to handle 150 tons

A crew of 30 to 35 men will be
employed to handle this production.

Jamestown, Calif. June 25—John
Morris and associates of Los Angeles have completed the erection of a
75-ton daily capacity placer gold
gravel washing plant on the Punch
Bowl mine, three miles southwest of
this town, which they are operating
from the
owner, C. E. Shafer of Jamestown
Since recently taking over the property, their force of miners has
cleaned out and retimbered a 1,500
bedrock tunnel and a 38-foot raise,
as well as installing a two-drill air
compressor and -other necessary
equipment. Manager J. S. Cademortari states that work for the immediate will be confined to drifting
