FRIDAY, JUNE 28, 1935. THE NEVADA CITY NUGGET JAMBOREE TROOP IN AUBURN MEET The second meeting of the Tahoe Area Council Jamboree Troop was held last Sunday at Auburn with 100 percent attendance on the part of ' the Scouts. Announcement was made that there was the opportunity for final three day training period two days prior to leaving for Washington, D. C. by special train. WHO MONKEYED WITH CUB SCOUT BEANIES? This ruling had only . recently been received from the National office. These applications must be placed within the next week at . the Council headquasters. The four hour training session included work on pack frames, troop and patrol organization, the oppointment of patrol officers, marching, instruction on equipment and camporee program details. The Scouts labored with fine spirit, augering . } well for the success of the trip. At the close of the meeting for distribution. Each Scout was issued a pack frame which was taken home. for completion. The third meeting of. the troop will be held next Sunday from 1 to 5 p. m. again in Auburn. Scout Executive Harris Ricksecker and Assistant Scoutmasters Sam Partridge and Fred Stephen and special Council Representative George L. Jones were in charge of the meeting. M. H. Ellestad of Auburn and Frank Chilton of Roseville assisted in completing pack frames.
