a fine program was enjoyed. Miss

of Evangeline chapter was a guest
of honor and greatly’ entertained
the group with reminiscences of the
early history of the chapter.
Mrs. Frank Davies, assoc‘ate mafron, was program chairman and presented the playlet. “Sleepy Hollow
School.’’ Mrs. Doris M F.oley was
the teacher and had a class of oldfashioned boys and girls.
Mrs. Harry Howe of San Francisto and Mrs. Esther Brown of Minden were also guests of the evening.

their annual all-school picnic. The
Pool is open and it is expected that
a large number of students will go
swimming. Ice cream and lemonade
will be provided by the four classes
and the remainder of the food will
be taken care of by the individual
students. Dancing will be held in the
Seaman’s lodge at night.

and Mrs. Will Jeffrey of Watlrath
Avenue, and who. graduated from
University of California with the
class of 1937, has accepted a position with the Bank of America at
Williams. He spent the past week
end at home. He states that he is
delighted with his new work.
Mrs. Russell B. Farley spent the
week end at Lake Tahoe and Truckee with her husband. There was a
heavy. snow fall Sunday from eight
in the morning-till noon and it
spoiled the holiday for many vacationists.
