Hall of Los Angeles, who submitted a combination offer of $8,139 to construct an office building and $85,882 to construct two dormitories and Lawson Construction company of Los Angeles at $44,385 to build 28 cottages. Western Pipe and Steel company of San Francisco was the low bidder for the proposed construction of a 100,000 gallon steel water tank at the dam. The bid was‘'$3350. C. Legislative members looked ahead optimistically this week and _ predicted that the deluge of nearly 4,000 bills introduced during the first session could be settled and the sessions closed by about May 15.
