Tired Farmer Finds
New Use For Slogan
A Nevada City exmarine was in Auburn Friday on business. On being
held up by traffic at a stop sign he
saw a farmer on this warm day
pumping up a tire with an old fashioned hand pump, A well dressed
man came along in his car and said
in a friendly manner: ‘‘Well, are you
having a little trouble?’’? The man
continued to pump and never raised
his head: ‘‘Oh! Hell, No! I am just
giving aid to the British.”
